Tracks

Overview

Ministry Tracks are where students gain experience by learning from Church of the King staff members and growing in their specific area through leadership opportunities.

In this track students will learn how to effectively engage and communicate the Gospel and the love of Jesus to young children.

Track includes: 

  1. Learning how to teach biblical principles to children
  2. Developing creative service elements
  3. Coordinating and planning purchasing of supplies
  4. Serve in King’s Kids during weekend services
  5. Planning and coordinating children’s events (like Club 345 and VBS)
  6. Help coordinate and facilitate volunteers

Children’s Ministry

In this track students will be involved in ministry with junior high and high school youth.

Tracks includes:

  1. Planning and executing events on Limitless Youth nights
  2. Engaging with students during youth services
  3. Leading youth small groups
  4. Evangelising and engaging in discipleship with younger students
  5. Team building and team management
  6. Decorating and setting up for youth events

Student Ministry

In this track students will learn to engage in pastoral responsibilities and learn the fundamentals of pastoral ministry within the church.

Track includes: 

  1. Participate in pastoral meetings and receive one-on-one mentorship
  2. Maintain database for Small Group Leaders
  3. Assist with Growth Track responsibilities on campus
  4. Maintain relationship with volunteers and teams
  5. Being trained and coached in prayer ministry
  6. Personal pastoral mentorship
  7. Leadership development and team management training

Pastoral Ministry 

In this track students will learn how to plan, coordinate and execute church wide special events.

Track includes:

  1. Learn how to plan and put together outlines for executing special events
  2. Being trained in administration and organizational management
  3. Execute events together with events director and volunteers
  4. Participate in creative brainstorming meetings for events
  5. Organize and manage event resources and materials
  6. Coordinate and communicate with event vendors

Events

Bringing the Word of God to all people is a key component of the Great Commission. The Outreach Ministry Track is designed to train, develop, and prepare students with the practical skills to mobilize the church and to reach the unreached, love the unloved, and heal the hurting in every corner of the world. 

  • Learn to develop and lead in several outreach settings and scenarios including correctional ministry, disaster response, homeless care, fostercare, rehab support among others. 
  • Learn to develop and implement community outreach initiatives.
  • Learn to develop relationships in the community to partner together for true community transformation.
  • Learn to lead and value team members and celebrate the skills they each bring.

Outreach Track

In this track students will get an opportunity to gain skills within graphic design, photography, communication and creating church-wide promotional content and materials, church production, lighting, audio engineering, AVL technology and film-making.

Track includes:

  1. Basic graphic design training
  2. Concept and design for church media and print
  3. Training in capturing photography of weekend services, Limitless Youth and Young Adults ministry services and events
  4. Basic photography editing
  5. Maintaining and organizing a photo library and archive
  6. Time and Project Management
  7. Problem solving and Creative Brainstorming
  8. Basic production and back-stage equipment training
  9. Mix and record audio
  10. Use of audio and lighting equipment
  11. Recording and mixing audio for video shoots
  12. Basic use of cameras and filming equipment
  13. Training in filming and video editing
  14. Present ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions for video shoots

Creative/Film 

In this track students will develop skills within church production, lighting, audio engineering, AVL technology and stage management.

Track includes:

  • Basic production and back-stage equipment training
  • Understanding and development of audio engineering skills
  • Use of audio and lighting equipment
  • Production team management
  • Basic use of cameras and filming equipment
  • Development of stage management principles for weekend services as well as church-wide events

Technical Arts

In this track students will get training in worship leadership and ministry.

Track includes: 

  1. Participate in worship staff meetings and planning of worship experiences
  2. Gain training in leading worship on stage
  3. Participate in chapel, youth and young adult services
  4. Experience in leading worship rehearsals
  5. Maintain database for worship volunteers
  6. Personal mentorship in developing leadership skills for worship leading
